THE LIMBS

That's one messed up bench. I'm not letting one o' those support my posterior ever again.

It's been a while since I saw something this good

When I give 10s to submissions, they're usually either be enjoyable spam or a submission that actually deserves it. This is by far the latter. Whenever someone is able to actually make something that uses creative humor with well planned timing and classic delivery, it usually ends up being an all-time favorite of mine. Especially when mixed with squeaky clean animation, hilarious visual gags, and well thought out camera angles, it makes the overall product flow so much more smoothly. Not to mention you're voice was just perfect for the personality for the snazzy, full of himself anchorman.

You're probably one of the few artists on NG who makes sure that their animation can leave an impression on the viewer (well, the type of viewer that doesn't only care about video game parodies, anyway) without the use of common jokes you find on the site. And if you do end up using them, you mix it up in a way one hasn't seen it before. That, along with the fact that you manage to make your animation fluid and detailed at the same time only adds to your amazing talent. All I can say is that if this goes ignored, it would be a huge, HUGE shame.

thanks a lot for the kind words and taking the time to write!

Epic

One of the best Glitch Hog parodies yet. I laughed my arse off.

Favorited this right away

I just have to let you know that you impress me more and more as a flash artist. The whole gritty theme of the movie along with your smooth, bubbly artstyle drew me it straight from Saunich's drool. What also impresses me is that you manage to maintain a sense of dimention while still keeping the stylish, thick outline. In other cartoons that use thick outlining, such as Fairly Odd Parents, they often come across as too flat, but you were able to avoid that.

I'd also like to comment on the wicked sense of humor put in this flash. This humor style is always a favorite of mine, and in a comparison, I could compare this toon to the works of W-P-S (known for Anus boy and blek koffi, who I am also a huge fan of). The approach you took to give life to everything has definitely worked.

All I can say is that if you were able to complete this in four days, I can. only wonder how Enthalpy will turn out. Keep at it. :)

I see your point

People's standards seem to be relative;y low when it comes to watching parodies, and it sort of sickens me that they don't spend the time to watch original things as well. With that said though, is there a reason why you put this as a stand-alone movie instead of it being part of the actual Brawl Funnies collab? While I usually enjoy this type of humor, it seems a little empty without other pieces of animation to back it up.

A few months ago ashford pride made a movie with a foreboding title. It was called "Awesome Grounds".

Well ladies and gentlemen, that's might as well what this site should be called (at least right now), with the top row on the front page slot dedicated to an "awesome" movie and an "awesome" parody, an "awesome" t-shirt in the newgrounds store, and pretty much every "awesome" movie in the top 100, along with han's "awesome's creed".

I can't go to newgrounds with seeing something not about egoraptor or his coveted video game parody series. It makes me wonder sometimes if pursuing anything but half-assed cartoons making mildly funny observations about video games laced with profanity is even worth it. Truly, they are what bring the masses of 13-year olds to this site, and thus increases traffic and competition in the internet world. But you have to ask yourself, with this sort of two-bit audience increasing in numbers, are they really interested in watching anything else?

I understand that it's a dog eat dog world in the online entertainment business, and to compete you have to pretty much put up content that a majority of internet browsers would click on. This includes either women or video games. Things they already know they want. And that's all they want. They sign up, watch more, and come back and do it again later. They're trained to know that what they want is easily accessible and is promoted all over the site.

Original content is often shuffled off to the bottom of the page, or never gets any attention to begin with. Now comes into play the whole 'they won't click on it unless there's a boob for the icon', etc etc. That's because they've been fashioned to think that way.

I'm not saying i have all the mysterious answers to the way people's minds work. But this much is true - if all people click on are breasts and video game icons, and you give them breasts and video game icons, you're not pushing the envelope.

Newgrounds is the epitome of user-generated content. We already have a massive advantage over youtube in the fact that making a cartoon involves so much more creativity than snappily editing your webcam footage. So instead of 200 cartoons coming out every minute, we have 200 cartoons coming out every day. That gives someone a better chance of breaking out and being discovered for his hard work, and a reward for a job well done.

But in the same way that viewers are trained that they don't have to go out of their way to avoid original content they would otherwise enjoy, authors are becoming more and more disenchanted with their personal creations and are turning to nerd culture icons and cheap tactics to get viewers.

I can't tell you how many animators I have spoken to that have shunned their own creations in favor of sub-pop culture parody and disjointed scripts sprinkled with toilet humor and profanity. a cartoon catering to everyone who's forgotten what cartoons are all about. And here we are shoving away everything about cartoons that was originally appealing and magical, because we're pretty much forced to.

I'm not pointing the finger at any one person here. I think it's part of the bigger picture - bigger than Newgrounds, too. But if people really care about the future of cartoons and animation, we wouldn't be seeing this kind of blatant favoritism.

People will find what they want if they want it. They don't need to be spoon fed it all.

For thirty years animators who strive to create something genuinely unique have gotten nothing but a slap in the face. It's sickening and it has to stop someday, before they all disappear.

Lastly, this post is not about me. I'm not writing this out of self-pity, bitterness or spite. I'm being honest. I care a lot about the future of animation, and what I see around me is very troubling. The industry is bad enough, but where the future lies is in the small corners of the animation world. Newgrounds is one of them. I spend a lot of time trying to encourage and teach frame-by-frame animation, and creating your own characters and scripts. That is what is important

Once again, Thank you

I already stated my opinions on this in my review of the first part, so I'll just say that I got a lot of enjoyment from this. This part happened to feature my favorite piece in the whole Brawl Funnies project where the author used the metaphor of Kirb taking a giant shit that everyone liked. I started crying from laughing so hard.

Oh God, thank you

After watching the third Brawl Taunts, and losing thousands of my brain cells to it, this was an epic sigh of relief. It's almost as if this was able to get rid of all of my anger and frustration from watching Brawl Taunts 3. It's too bad nobody can interpret the hidden message for what it is, and also realize that it's an OPINION. Though if that were the case, I wouldn't be able to read the hilarious reviews saying things like "OMAH GAWD THE ANIMASHUN SUKS" or "U GUYS NEED A BETTR SENCE OF HUMUR".

My favorites have to be rtil's, um, surprisingly detailed animation, and Ukinojoe's Metaphor128 joke. His voice will never grow old.

Ouch

I can safely say that this is a huge downgrade from the already downgraded first two. No original jokes, no structure whatsoever, and not to mention the transitions through the jokes were so God awful that I couldn't tell where one joke ended and where one began. Thank God that there isn't going to be anymore, because I don't see how you could go more downhill than you already have with this garbage heap.

I have to give credit to Kirbopher though. His parts were the only ones that I found amusing and well done, and he's probably the only reason why I'm not giving this a zero. Despite the animators taking so long to finish their pieces, it seems like they threw it together in a few hours. If you're going to make a parody, at least try and not cut corners with the animation.

In other words, if you're going to make more stuff like this, please, please take in some of what I said and improve on it. I know this wasn't supposed to be a big thing in the first place, but if there are two sequels, I don't see an excuse in this being the bottom of the barrel for most parodies, let alone the Brawl Taunts series.

Haha, priceless.

I've always wondered why that didn't happen in the film - even as a kid.

I laughed really hard for some reason

Platapuses (Platapi?) are the joke of the animal kingdom.
